Collection: Sintra PVC Board

Sintra is the original premium expanded PVC foam board, made in the USA by 3A Composites and a fixture of the sign and display industry for more than 30 years. Each sheet is a homogeneous, moderately expanded closed-cell PVC with a low-gloss satin finish, and the bright white face stays consistent from sheet to sheet, which is why printers and sign shops keep specifying it.

It is lightweight yet rigid, resists dents and scratches, and shrugs off moisture and most chemicals. Sintra is also heat formable, so it can be curved and shaped into dimensional displays, and it cuts, routes, and saws cleanly using standard wood and foam board fabrication techniques. Thin gauges (1-3mm) can even be cut with a knife.

The manufacturer's line runs from 1mm to 12.7mm thick in bright white and black, with stock sheet sizes up to 60" x 120". Typical applications include point-of-purchase displays, exhibits and kiosks, interior and exterior signage, dimensional letters, framing, and retail fixtures. For exterior installations, 10mm and thicker is recommended. Sintra is self-extinguishing with a Class A fire rating (ASTM E-84) in gauges 3mm and under, and it is UL recognized.

Foamcore.com carries white and black Sintra with custom cut sizes available, from single sheets to bulk multi-packs with volume pricing, and freight shipping on full sheets. Not sure how it stacks up against Komatex? Read our Comparing PVC Boards guide.
